Have you ever had a nagging question that you just couldn’t answer?
How to get product and engineering teams to work more closely? How to advance your career? What agile means for product managers? What’s the big deal with big data?
You can help yourself – and your colleagues – to answer questions like these by leading a session at the upcoming ProductCamp Boston on May 2 at the Microsoft NERD Center in Cambridge. And it’s easier than you may think.
Each year, experts, novices and everyone in between come together to share best practices, tips, learnings and more in a collaborative, “unconference” (user organized) day of learning and networking. Sessions are led by practicing product managers and product marketers, experts and consultants, and anyone with expertise OR questions to share and answer. Common session formats include:
- Roundtable discussion – Prepare a few questions to ask participants and get insight and advice from everyone in your session
- Panel discussions – Grab a few of your peers and offer differing perspectives on your topic
- PowerPoint presentation – Experts/consultants share their insights and research on a particular topic
I’ve participated in, or have led each of these types of sessions at ProductCamp. Two years ago, I led a packed discussion on what agile development means for marketers – and the entire group contributed countless insights. I also participated in a panel on different types of SaaS offerings. And I’ve delivered expert presentations on solution marketing as well.
If you have a question – or an answer – ProductCamp is the best place to share and help your colleagues to learn. I encourage you to submit a session proposal. The deadline for proposals is fast approaching – Wednesday, April 15 at 5 pm. Learn more about sessions proposals – or jump right in and submit your session today! And don’t forget to register to attend ProductCamp!
